Welcome to “A Trustworthy Gospel.” This site seeks to encourage Christians to embrace and hold fast to the belief that the first Gospel, Matthew, was published early, before the life story and teachings of Jesus were potentially corrupted over time, particularly due to the failure of eyewitness memories.
Yes, the Gospels are trustworthy, as they are the inspired words of God. However, the apostles also claimed that their writings were trustworthy because they were eyewitnesses of the events which they described. Accordingly, I contend that the apostles would have been motivated to safeguard the trustworthiness of their testimony concerning Jesus by promptly publishing a Gospel.
